Brazil fest to vie ‘Roobi and Chickens’

Iran animation ‘Roobi and Chickens’ has been scheduled to go on the silver screen at the 26th edition of Anima Mundi Film Festival in Brazil.

The flick is to represent Iran at the competition section of the Brazilian film event.

The story is about an alien that comes into a forest in a spaceship in search of food and ends up in the house of a fox named Roobi who realizes that the alien can help him solve his problem involving a rooster living nearby.

The 26-episode series was produced by the Tehran-based Gonbad Caboud Studio.

Anima Mundi was created in 1993 with the aim of promoting and disseminating animation in Brazil. The event is one of the largest in the world in terms of audience.

The 2018 edition of the festival is slated for July 18-23.
